This has to be the most challenging trip so far with the extreme weather conditions! We drove and hiked through blizzards, very strong winds and icy roads but was all worth it to see some of the most breathtaking scenery.
I do love the warm climate countries but a totally different experience exploring in very cold conditions, there was times when I couldn’t even press the shutter button on my camera because my hands were so numb. Most of the time I would get so excited I would forget to wear gloves so kind of my fault..
I didn’t get a chance to capture the Northern lights this time round due to clouds or no solar activity, but so worth going to Iceland to experience the beautiful scenery and the relaxed culture. I would highly recommend getting a 4×4 and exploring the coasts, just beware of the snow blizzards as they come from nowhere.
I would love to go back one day as there is so much to see and do.
